Misery Beyond Death – by Shaykh Mufti Saiful Islam

One of the aspects which differentiates a Muslim from a non-Muslim is the belief in the Ākhirah (Hereafter). Muslims believe that they will be held accountable for wrongdoings and rewarded for good. This is the core aspect of the message in the holy Qur’ān to which Allāh I draws our attention throughout so that we believe in Him. In reinforcing this message, Allāh I describes extensively the scenes of the Day of Judgement.

Sūrah Mursalāt discusses in detail the catastrophic scenes on the Day of Judgement, when the record of deeds of each and every individual will be laid open in front of them. The shock and horror of that day will be extraordinary.
