Glitter of this World – by Shaykh Mufti Saiful Islam

The word ‘Zukhruf’ refers to gold ornaments from which this sūrah takes its name, and this concept is incorporated throughout the sūrah. Gold is the personification of wealth and power; its rightful expenditure enables man to reach the station of esteem and glory and its hoarding causes a person to plummet in disgrace. The tafsīr of this sūrah has been divided into two books; this being the first book and the second book is titled ‘Truth versus Falsehood’.
