Actions Speak Louder Than Words – by Shaykh Mufti Saiful Islam

We are living in a time where we are so indulged in acquiring the luxuries of this worldly life that we often forget our purpose in this world. Many a times we say things which we do not portray through our actions and we give advice to others which we don’t act upon ourselves. However, in order to attain success, we must act upon whatever we preach.

Sūrah As-Saff teaches us some fundamental ways of how to live our lives as believers and not be deceived by the materialistic things of this worldly life. In order to achieve this, we can take inspiration by looking at the lives of the Sahābah radi allahu anhum and our pious predecessors. They were firm in acting upon the things they would preach. We need to keep in mind that when we remain true to our pledge, then Allāh I will allow us to remain dominant over everyone else.
