As the title suggests, as each day passes, we come closer to our death. Life is too short to be treated as an amusement and for the fulfilment of one’s lust. The Day of Judgement is inevitable where we all must one day stand in front of the Lord of the Worlds to give an account of our deeds. These six Sūrahs explain the horrors and terrifying moments of Judgement Day and the inevitable standing before the Lord. We must therefore prepare for the Hereafter by realizing our purpose in life; to worship Allāh subhanahu wa ta’ala Alone and reduce our worldly expectations.

The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, “Value five before five; your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your prosperity before your poverty, your free time before you are busy and your life before your death.”
